The error code 005399 (P1517, 05399, 5399) - short circuit to ground - occurs across different models in engine control units of TDIs with piezo injector pumps. The cause is a short circuit in one of the power diode elements. You can identify the faulty element by disconnecting the electrical connector from each PD element one by one and attempting to start the system. Dipl.-Ing.
