Here's a Renault Master 2.5 dCI with a G9U632 engine that has no power, and the glow plug and "Service" lights are illuminated.
The error memory shows:

DF226 Valve, inductive damping.
- Permanent
- Internal electronic fault.

I can't make sense of the error message. When you search for it online, you find results related to the AGR valve, throttle valve, and boost pressure control valve. It's possible that my diagnostic tool is displaying the wrong text, because I found the same error using a Launch diagnostic tool, which displays "Inlet flap" instead.

Does anyone here recognize this error code?

"Thank you."

Hi,

DF226 is the circuit for the intake air flap.

It's a bit tricky because you actually need the technical type of the vehicle (e.g., the model plate or VIN) and, from the control unit, the program number and the Vdiag number. Both of these can be read out when the control unit is recognized, at least with the Clip tool.

Actually, there should also be something after "DF226", like "CO.1" or "1.DEF-", which would further narrow down the error.

It's possible that not every diagnostic tool will display that information.

Generally, with Renault, the term "Stromkreis" can refer not only to an electrical circuit icon_exclaim.gif, but also to the flow of air (including vacuum) or liquids - which translators often fail to distinguish icon_smile.gif.

Greetings, Christian.

Okay, here's the translation:

Thank you.

The vehicle identification number (VIN) is VF1FDCYM639380234.

"My diagnostic tool is still showing 'Internal electronic fault'."

The throttle valve is already new.
At connector 2, I have 12V on one side relative to ground, and I've tested the other two sides all the way to the control unit. They also have continuity.

I tried connecting the new throttle valve to an A6 TDI, and it works during the actuator diagnosis. Unfortunately, the one from the A6 is also broken, so I can't test it in the main system.

"However, I recently had a case with a Touareg where I installed two Pierburg units and one Conti unit, and none of them worked. Only the original Conti unit eventually fixed the problem."
In the master cylinder, I also installed a new Conti part. I don't know what was in it before; it was already installed by a different workshop.

Sure, here's the translation:

"Hi there," or "Good morning," (informal greeting)

The vehicle type must match (FD0Y according to the VIN).

There is an "internal electronic fault" which corresponds to attachment 1.DEF for the error.

Diagnosis at this point:
- Check the connector, air flap, and control unit.
- Check for continuity and insulation between the positive and ground connections, as well as between the wires, with the connectors plugged in on both sides. If necessary, move the wires while measuring.
- Check the lid for mechanical locking. It must be open when the connector is disconnected, it must close when the engine is turned off, and then reopen.

I think you've come quite far already...

Perhaps this will help:
After each maintenance or repair procedure performed on the...
Air intake flap, command SC036: "Reinitialization".
"Perform readings," turn off the ignition, and...
Wait 1 minute.

Does the error reappear immediately after clearing the error memory?

As permanently displayed errors, (in Renault vehicles) do not always have to be permanently or currently present. Some are stored as permanent after appearing only once, so that the normal function can only be restored using a diagnostic tool icon_exclaim.gif.
It's bad for debugging, but unfortunately, that's the way it is icon_confused.gif.

The error cannot be deleted.

My question is whether the throttle needs to be adjusted. Will a "reinitialization" definitely do the trick?
"Inputs".

I was able to clear it once, and I've also tried disconnecting the control unit from the power supply for a longer period, but I still can't clear the error. I'm expecting to receive a different diagnostic tool this week, and I'll try using that to clear it.

Sure, you're welcome.

Here's a possible translation:

"Maybe this will be helpful. If I unplug the connector while the ignition is on and then plug it back in, the flap opens and closes."

Sure, here's the translation:

"Hi there," or "Good morning," (informal greeting)

correct: Pairing the flap is done via "reinitialization".
"Inputs" is where the clip will be processed by the procedure.
I think that would be the most sensible next step...

I can't comment on the behavior during the attachment and detachment process, but it seems normal so far.

Regarding the wiring, just to be sure that no one messed with it before:
1. Color: Black represents pure mass.
2. Color: White is a reliable plus point regarding relays.
--> Have you ever tried connecting a load (like a light bulb with a few extra watts) between 1 and 2 o'clock to see if there's still enough voltage reaching it?

3. Brown wire is for the control valve; connect it to the brown connector at the control unit, pin E2.

Wire color 4, which is white, is the diagnostic lead and connects to pin H2 on the larger black connector at the control unit.

Greetings, Christian.

Okay, I've now connected a working throttle valve from a Touareg, and everything is working fine. I can even clear the error code. However, at the same time, I'm now getting a DF025 glow plug system error. The glow plug in cylinder 1 is stuck; someone has already tried to remove it, and I've had to bore it out further, but I still can't get it out. Now I need to figure out a cost-effective solution for this.
