"Hello, after being very satisfied with my 1.9 TDI 110 HP engine, I now bought the 2.0L engine with DFG (direct fuel injection) and 150 HP, hoping that it would provide more power to handle the now 40 cm longer and heavier body."
During a test drive in wet conditions, the wheels spun out in second gear, which I attributed to the Sailun tires. I have now replaced them with Dunlop tires.
But what is this now? Up to 1700, the hot air is weaker than before, less than the 1.9 setting, which already pulled at 1500. And then, suddenly, even the dry setting at 2000 starts working on the second fan.
If you want to avoid that and use the third gear, you're back in the powerless turbo range... which is even worse, being stuck between 1500 and 1800 RPM.
Now I'm reading from some people who describe it in the same way.
Is there a solution? Is the turbocharger too large?
@ Rainer: I'm also happy to go to Switzerland if there's something that can be done there.
It was flawless after the purchase. Gruß, der Teileklaus

Hi,
I haven't done any chip tuning for decades, and I recommend a gentle touch on the accelerator pedal.
Best regards, Rainer.

Thanks, Rainer. That's sobering. Whether I'm being sensitive or insensitive when giving it full throttle (1500 RPM) in the turbo lag doesn't make a difference.

"I've heard a similar description from my neighbor, who drives a SEAT Ateca. However, his has the 1.5L TSI engine with a 7-speed DSG transmission. Even software updates for the engine and transmission didn't improve the situation. I would describe his driving style as rather calm and anticipatory."
He will probably sell his car for this reason, because he doesn't like this kind of driving experience, and SEAT can't offer a solution. Viele Grüße
Andreas

I've had better experiences with diesel engines before. Of course, you don't want to inject too much diesel when the turbo isn't running yet. It's probably even worse with the 190 hp version. Also, the issue is less noticeable with a DSG transmission than with my manual car. The turbo lag until 1700 rpm also prevents a more favorable fuel consumption. An update to the software would have been welcome, if it could improve anything.
Ein Biturbo wäre eine indiskutabel teure Lösung. Wlike in a sprinter car.
I'm not sure if mine has a VTG (Variable Transmission Gear), and I'm wondering if changing the rods might make a difference. It definitely doesn't have a can anymore. Gruß, der Teileklaus

Hi,
I don't entirely understand the complaints about the 110 kW Common Rail diesel engine (DFGx). I have one myself (CJCD), and it starts well from around 1400 rpm. The only drawback is the switch between injection sequences under load, which reduces the number of pre-injections, negatively impacting fuel consumption.
Regarding the problems described here, I would first like to see a torque curve. The actual problem could be poor turbocharger boost. Of course, a variable geometry turbocharger is installed.

Hello,
I would check the vacuum system for leaks. If you have vacuum-operated throttle valves, check the vacuum actuator for leaks.
Best regards, Rainer.
