Hi.
I intend to disable the AGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system on my Audi 80 Avant TDI, manufactured in 1/93. This was necessary after I had to diagnose a more severe case of carbon buildup, specifically a significant amount of crusting, during a flange replacement for the intake manifold.
After I have cleaned this, the idea of blocking the AGR (Automatic Gearbox Oil Return) came to mind.
I would install a suitable, thin oval-shaped piece of metal directly into the upper inlet pipe, right at the collection suction pipe.
1. Question: Will that be enough?
2. Question: Are there any (especially negative) side effects to expect?
Thank you,
Hermann
