TDI Problems: Rough Idle, Low Power, Smell

"Recently, I became the owner of a Passat B6 2.0L TDI with 170 horsepower and BMR PPD components, which has 203,000 kilometers on it. Since owning the car, I've experienced quite a few problems. From what I've read, this seems to be not uncommon with the BMR system."

Regarding the issues:
He really stinks terribly. It's an incredibly pungent and sharp smell.
It idles with a slight, irregular vibration. However, this doesn't always happen; I haven't noticed anything when the engine is cold. Additionally, there's an intermittent error code: P1040 - Power supply to injector A; electrical fault. Furthermore, it feels very weak and lacks power.

What I have done so far:
Aufgrund des sporadischen Fehlers habe ich den Kabelbaum bei den PPDEs gewechselt, Fehler blieb (Im Fehlerspeicher steht der Fehler allerdings oft erst Tage später wieder). Anschließend eine neue PPDE bestellt und eingebaut mit dem Ergebnis: Motor läuft wie ein Sack Nüsse. Komplett Katastrophe. Dabei habe ich auch zeitgleich die Stößel mit dem Betätigungsstück bei den restlichen PPDEs ersetzt und mich dabei natürlich strikt an den rep. Leitfaden gehalten! Alle Schrauben auch jedes mal ordnungsgemäß neu. Neues PPDE wieder raus und altes wieder rein - Motor läuft noch immer wie ein Sack Nüsse Natürlich habe ich immer nach Tausch das Kraftstoff-System entlüftet. Ein bisschen weiter gesucht und bei den Filtern hängen geblieben. Ölfilter leichte Späne zu sehen (noch nicht katastrophal) und Kraftstofffilter schwarz. Also Öl im Kraftstoff-System. Filter gewechselt und die Tandempumpe mit dazu. (Alte hatte starke laufspuren und eine leichte Undichtigkeit). Motor läuft wieder - nur leider weiterhin mit den alten Problemen. AGR habe ich mir dann auch mal angesehen, sieht nicht gerade schön aus, aber ich habe hier im Forum wesentlich schlimmere Bilder gefunden. Sauber gemacht habe ich es dabei natürlich auch (nur das Ventil mit Drosselklappe - den Kühler nicht). Kea change.

Oh yeah, I also replaced the hexagon socket head cap screw and the oil pump. However, that should be independent of the problems mentioned above.

The mass flow correction factors are all less than or equal to 0.25 mg/h for all PPDEs.
I've already read a lot of interesting things in this forum, and my suspicion is that the problem is caused by degraded PPDEs.
After driving in 4th gear at full throttle, the highest lambda value reached was 1.47. According to this forum, a lambda value of 1.4 at full throttle indicates the limit has been reached, and the components need cleaning. I would like to verschandeln them directly, but I still wanted to ask if I'm on the right track here. It makes me suspicious that I haven't read about the other accompanying symptoms that my BMR (Brake Master Cylinder?) has in any other thread on this forum regarding carbon-fouled PPDEs (Pressure Proximity Detection Element?). For example, the slight idling roughness and that incredibly pungent smell.

I would be very grateful if someone here could share their opinion on this topic.
