[1.9sdi AYQ] Static boost start

Regarding my issue:

I'm currently in the process of replacing the fuel injection pump on my Caddy 9KV 1.9SDI with a used one (due to a loud knocking noise caused by a faulty injection timing adjuster). Now, I'm wondering if there's a static injection start setting for the SDI pumps that can be adjusted using a pressure gauge. Unfortunately, I don't have VCDS yet, and I want to get the Caddy running first.
Unfortunately, the used pump was not calibrated to OT (Operating Temperature) before it was removed.

Hello Jan,

You can precisely adjust the camshaft timing using a camshaft alignment tool.

The corresponding tool (OE part number T10098 A) costs around 20 euros.

The pump is adjusted to 0.70 mm +/- 0.02 mm using a measuring instrument.

The fuel injection system is checked using a diagnostic tool.

Habe heute alles wieder zusammen gebaut und dementsprechend eingestellt. Leider räuchert der Motor immer noch stark weiß und entwickelt keine Leistung. Das deutet ja alles auf Einspritzbeginn `spät´ hin. Denke, dass meine Messuhr eventuell nicht richtig geht. IcI don't understand.
