Hello again!
I still need to finalize this forum (almost there!), and I'd like to do that now.
I've now installed a new Pierburg mass airflow sensor and I'm reaching my top speed. But that brings up some more questions:
Now my Audi is going 220 km/h according to the speedometer (a 1.9 TDI engine with 110 hp that has been upgraded to 132 hp with an *** chip).
Could it be that no limiter is currently active?
Where exactly is the limitation being implemented? Is it through the control unit?
And how high can it actually rotate? Or does it achieve a higher rotation speed with a chip?
My old mass airflow sensor no longer had the protective grilles.
und ich habe das Gefühl, dass er damit etwas besser Zog. Could that be possible?
I've already read through the other forums about sports air filters and removing the protective grille from the mass airflow sensor, and I think I've come to the conclusion that I should leave things as they are, because it only results in a very slight reduction in fuel consumption.

No. In normal driving conditions, there's a point where the engine's power is no longer sufficient to overcome air resistance and rolling friction. The engine speed at which this occurs, and therefore your speed, is the vehicle's top speed.
Above the engine's rated power RPM, the power simply decreases gradually. Specifically, as the RPM increases above approximately 4200 RPM, the fuel injection amount is reduced by the control unit.
If the fuel injection amount is not reduced, it's possible that the engine speed at full throttle will become too high, leading to valve damage. -> Engine failure.
The correct rev limiter, designed to protect the engine, is typically set at around 5000 or 5200 RPM (I don't remember the exact number offhand).
You can easily check this speed (maximum speed) using the tachometer: with the engine at its operating temperature, keep it idling and press the accelerator pedal all the way down and hold it there. This applies to a motor.
Don't worry, nothing will break. Every two years, the same thing is done during the vehicle inspection (and when accelerating the engine, the exhaust opacity is also measured due to soot).

Hi Rainer,
However, Relaxanz wrote something about chip tuning for his car | .
And I suspect that the tuner has simply shifted the power limit slightly upwards.
(Because: It's difficult for some people to understand that more power doesn't necessarily mean a higher top speed  - with which I am here addressing, in general terms  , only the tuning customers ).
Of course, this doesn't actually "disable" the limiter, but it might create a certain impression...Gruß Ulf

That seems pretty fast for a 132 hp TDI, doesn't it?
Okay, I'll test the rev limiter later if it's available.
And something else I noticed:
From idle to 2000 RPM, the car makes a whining noise (coming from the engine compartment).
Is it likely due to the engine, or because the turbo kicks in?
Or does he simply not like the cold? I didn't have that feeling just a few days ago.

I just revved the engine while it was idling, and I got it past 5000 RPM. Isn't that too high for a TDI with a chip?
The red zone starts at just 4600 RPM.
I'm a little scared, which is why I didn't have them turn it up any higher.
That's why I still don't know if a rev limiter is active.
