I just don't want to take the car to the workshop.
I'm losing track of things.

What actually happens if you disconnect the crankshaft position sensor (G-2icon_cool.gif from a perfectly functional TDI engine with a Z1 or AEY engine code, while the ignition is off?
Turn the ignition on, then try to start the engine (which, of course, won't start).
Turn the ignition off again, then reconnect G-28.

Would the engine start again now?

Would the engine only run in emergency mode?

Or, even if there was an error in the diagnosis, would it still function normally?

G28, no signal, intermittent.

Hey everyone.

I just finished this test, and it was quite a hassle getting that old, rusty speed sensor (G_28) out of the Vento.

The Caddy also won't start with the alternator from the Vento.
But the fuel pump from the Caddy works in the Vento icon_rolleyes.gif.
So, it's not the G-28!

Okay, then I'm left with only the option of going to the lion's den icon_mad.gif (VAG), having the immobilizer code re-entered, or does anyone else have another idea??? icon_idea.gif
