No, an imbalance in the wheels, rims, or tires can also manifest itself only within a specific speed range. In my case, with my winter tires, it occurred between 100-120 km/h. VW Golf III TDI Avenue, MKB 1Z, EZ96

hello,
Think about your driveshaft joints; one of them is likely starting to stiffen. Pay particular attention to vibrations that only occur during acceleration, i.e., when a lot of power is being transmitted.
Best regards,
Gerrit

It might be, but it's somehow strange because most drive shafts last a car's entire life. And in taxis, that's often 400,000 kilometers or more. B.Eng (FH) u. KFZ Meister

The problem is that if you drive with damaged axle boots for too long, the bearings in the drive shafts can become damaged. I'm not entirely sure how you would notice worn tie rod ends when accelerating, either.
"Oh yeah, did you recently change your tires from winter to summer tires, and has this problem started since then? If so, it's probably the tires. Otherwise, just try putting on your summer tires and see if the problem goes away. If it does, then it's the winter tires. Otherwise, you'll have to keep looking. That's the simplest and cheapest way to determine if the problem is related to the tires." VW Golf III TDI Avenue, MKB 1Z, EZ96

hello
So, you're saying that the aftermarket industry offers replacement drive shafts just for fun, and that these parts are practically never needed or sold? How many cars actually have 400,000 kilometers on the odometer? If you want, I can send you some of the broken ones from cars with less than 400,000 kilometers.
Best regards, Gerrit!

I would also bet on the waves. If you're lucky, they might still be salvageable.
1. Visual inspection: Has any of them leaked oil?
If it expands, check if it fits properly. If it fits, you need new ones. If it doesn't fit, obtain a new seal. Fill the entire assembly with the appropriate grease, and before doing so, lubricate the joints generously with gear oil until they move freely again.
Cuff on - install - done.
2. No grease lost. Then the grease inside has hardened. In the past, we would simply inject gear oil with a syringe for these cases. Some people say that this can damage the rubber boot. However, I haven't seen any boots break yet. The gear oil lubricates it again, and it will last a while longer. You can always remove it and replace the rubber boot later. Simply pushing grease in usually doesn't help because the grease doesn't flow to the damaged bearing quickly enough.
If there's play in the system, you should be able to hear it when the steering angle and driving force are increased.

Hello.
'I experienced the same thing. I just bought a Volkswagen Golf 4 TDI (AHF) with 154,000 km, and when I got it on the highway, I noticed a vibration in the steering wheel during acceleration!'
Ask me what kind of check they performed at that reputable car dealership!
Both rear bearings of the control arms were defective!
Replaced free of charge, problem solved!
Best regards, Ferdi.
