Golf IV Climatronic blowing only warm air

A colleague's Golf IV is only blowing warm air.
Read data using a VAG-COM Comfort control unit. No error codes.
The antseuer signal for the magnetic coupling appears to be OK.
However, the evaporator temperature remains constant at -53 degrees.
The value is not plausible.

Where is this sensor located?
Has anyone ever experienced (or fixed) this issue before?

I would say it's reading incorrectly... Channels that are not in use usually display -53°C.

You also need to read the climate control module, not the comfort control module. Does the Climadisplay flash multiple times when it's turned on?

Display blinking <=> error code. No, no blinking lights, no error codes.

I recommended to my colleague to install or uninstall his Clima-STG.
Remove the glove compartment and check the wiring. What do you think?

Unnecessary... the 'brilliant' VAG-COM offers an actuator diagnosis. It's probably the temperature flap motor, just like in many other Golf 4s.

That doesn't explain the -53° though...

I would put the clima in diagnostic mode (CTRL-ALT-DEL ) and then read channel 40.

The label files (if they even exist) are extremely dangerous when it comes to the Climatronic system.

If channel 40 also displays -53°, then some skillful craftsmanship is probably required.
