Hello,

On my Golf IV, manufactured in 2003, with a TDI engine, the toe angle is outside the tolerance range on both sides. However, the value is the same on both sides. I had a new steering rack installed a few weeks ago, but surely that shouldn't affect the toe angle, or am I mistaken? The toe angle on a Golf IV is not supposed to be adjustable.

Reason for inquiry:
"Since the steering rack was replaced, the vehicle is much easier to steer than before. Because the toe-in creates a restoring force, this could be the reason for the improved steering feel. My girlfriend's Golf IV is much harder to steer, but it's a gasoline engine (possibly with a different steering rack than the diesel)."

Regards,

Holger.
