Hello!

Ich will meine Climatronic mal desinfizieren. Lt. The search function should...
You shouldn't try to understand the chemistry by looking at the water tank (pressure relief valve).
spray, but rather through the "recirculation flap."

Where is it? (A picture would be helpful.)

I already looked under the glove compartment, but I only found...
Blower motor found...

Do I have to take everything apart there? To remove the glove compartment.
I have to take everything from left to right, so that's where I would put it.
Actually, Zeuch is hitting the water tank!

Best regards and thank you.

Peter.

Hello,

Okay, I've always used the water tank method; it was quick and worked well. Just crank up the ventilation to full blast, open all the vents, and pour the stuff in.
Do not insert the hose too far into the hole under the pollen filter, otherwise...
is reduced by the fan.

After doing a little bit of Googling, I'm even more confused now, as many people say...
While it's labeled as a "recirculation flap," it probably actually refers to the "back pressure valve."
either at the water tank or, possibly, there's only one of them on the Golf IV.

I was just worried that, due to exactly what I mentioned...
"The whole thing just works perfectly for me..."
(see /viewtopic.php?t=1490)

But, okay, I'm convinced icon_wink.gif, so let's put it in the water tank!

The fan doesn't blow air out; it sucks it in.
I've never gotten this involved in something like this before.

Ugh... The pressure relief valve is the same as the recirculation flap. You'll find it when you remove the glove compartment.
However, it's more effective to spray it on the dust/pollen filter.

Blow-off valve = recirculation valve

Hmm, what's the name of the flap underneath the pollen filter then?
Because this setting activates when you select "recirculation" on the climate control system.
"actively involved in..." or "engaged in..." (depending on the context)

Okay, never mind. I sprayed it in through the pollen filter.
It works wonderfully. However, the ventilation isn't running at full power.
then the Climatronic system automatically closes the flap icon_confused.gif.

Best regards, have a nice weekend, and thank you for your patience with me.

Peter.
