Hello,
I'm looking at getting new rims for my Golf 3 (lowered 60/40).
These are RH Cup (size 1) rims.
Size: 9x17 ET 07 (with adapter plates)
8.5x17 ET 17 (with adapter plates)
I think that if you pull them properly, you can widen the fenders by 1.5 cm.
Question: Will these rims fit?
My car isn't that low, so I hope nothing scrapes!
Best regards and thank you for your tips.
DJ.
PS: I'd like to fit 205/40 tires on the 8.5-inch rims and 215/35 tires on the 9.0-inch rims - is that possible?

'So, we didn't have any problems with the 9x16 ET30 front and ET15 rear wheel setup, but the edges definitely need to be rolled. We then pulled the fender liners out even further (more than 1.5 inches) and installed huge wheel spacers, but if you're running a stock setup (without spacers), you should definitely have plastic fender liners to prevent the TÜV (German technical inspection authority) from rejecting the car due to insufficient wheel clearance.'

Unfortunately, according to the manufacturer (RH), the adapter plates (supervisor modifications) must be installed.
I'll probably go with the thinnest ones (20mm).
Then I have an estimated time of 33 and 27.
Regards,
DJ.
