Hi.

How about building a part that seals the EGR valve and also fills the remaining cylindrical opening into the intake manifold as much as possible, so that it doesn't create any unnecessary flow restrictions?

So, a "plug for inside":

Or is that complete overkill?

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

The stopper must seal against the inside of the container; otherwise, it's useless.
Since active AGR systems can cause turbulence in that area as standard equipment, I would simply cut a piece of sheet metal (with two holes for the screws) and place it over it.
It might be possible to apply sealant and then screw it together.

The sheet metal is already prepared.

The oil pan for the 1Z is installed without any sealant icon_smile.gif. The new gasket for it is already prepared and ready icon_smile.gif.

Wow, you did a really great job!
Is there anything else I need to do for the agricultural land set-aside program?

Unfortunately, I no longer have my 1Z engine. It was installed in an Ibiza 6K that weighed 1075 kg.
It had a dry weight configuration. The thing actually ran pretty well! Unfortunately, it didn't have air conditioning.

Thank you icon_smile.gif.

To actually disable it, you only need to install the metal plate. But for a bit more fun, you can remove the intake manifold and soak it in diesel for two days.
http://www.luxus-wg.de/~martin/auto_bilder/AGR_Saugstutzen/

After that, it will be perfectly clean.

icon_eek.gif It's not even that clean, not even in a brand new car icon_eek.gif.

ehrlich gesagt traue ich mich über so große arbeiten nicht drüber, da ich keinen zweitwagen für den 'ernstfall' habe. icon_wink.gif

I'll have to think about the possibility of decommissioning it with my AHF (Authorized Handling Facility).

As I said, to temporarily stop the flow, there are only two screws on the valve (position 6) – you just need to slightly bend something, insert two new seals with the metal plate, and tighten it again – it takes about 5 minutes.

But I wanted the full treatment, and in the process, I also discovered the leaky exhaust manifold, which is now going to mean a lot of work.

I don't have a second car either, and I always have to go to VW by bike. icon_sad.gif

I'm going to do some research on the topic of agricultural technology (AgTech).
