I forgot to mention that we proceeded step-by-step during the 'testing' phase. Perhaps the combination of NHG and ESD is the reason for the missing error codes.

In the first step, review the NHG (National Health Guidelines) and any associated ESD (Environmental Site Data) results.
deutlich besserer Anzug, aber immer noch extrem unrunder Lauf gerade im unteren Drehzahlbereich (was kann eigentlich passieren wenn man eine Düse vom 1Z und drei vom AFN drin hat? (Mortal sin?)

In the second step, immediately after that, the remaining ESDs were replaced.
Smooth running, good acceleration, but the top speed is approximately 10 km/h lower than it was before the head gasket and timing belt repair (likely due to the 1Z injectors in the AFN engine).

I'm getting the AFN nozzles tomorrow and will report back.

Hello,

The new AFN injectors and the matching NHG fuel pump are installed, and the Passat is running normally again. I still can't figure out why this defect occurred in conjunction with the head gasket/valve stem seal repair (was it a manufacturing error?).

Well, see, TDIs are actually manageable if you take care of them yourself instead of just letting workshops do everything icon_twisted.gif.

Do you still want to sell the car?

Yes, they are manageable, but I get the impression that workshops rely almost exclusively on their diagnostic tools, without perhaps considering all the signs (e.g., at VW: 'the shaking between 1900 and 2200 RPM is normal' or 'the turbocharger is worn out'). I can confirm your opinion that you shouldn't necessarily believe everything you hear. The idea for the NHG (presumably a specific repair or modification) ultimately didn't come from the workshop foreman, but rather from studying the turbodiesel community forums.

By the way, the 'new version' is already in development.

Certainly! Here's the translation:

'Thank you very much.'
