Hello,
My sunroof is leaking!
'I've noticed that now, with the autumn rains, after a rainy day or night, my car splashes a significant amount of water onto my neck when I brake for the first time after driving. It seems like water has accumulated somewhere in the 'intermediate area' while the car was standing in the rain.'
The effect can even be observed on the front sealing edge of the SHD in a car wash.
Question:
Has anyone else had similar experiences?
Can I replace this textile-like material (which seems to have shrunk)?
How much will it cost?
Thank you for any help you can provide.
Best regards,

No sunroof is leak-proof!!
Therefore, there is a "gutter" on all sides of the sunroof, and there are four hoses in the corners that drain the water away.
There's definitely a hose that's blocked. 1993 Audi 80 B4 1Z

Ah, thank you very much.
My 'intermediate floor' is a gutter, and I have to clean its drain openings, which is a good thing.
I'll take a look at that now.
Best regards,

The hoses on my car end at the A-pillar (visible when the door is open) at the front, and under the bumper at the rear. It's possible that yours are the same.
Supposedly, something like that can be cleaned well with a tachometer wave. 1993 Audi 80 B4 1Z

Great information, it saves me a lot of time searching and guessing.
I was actually thinking of a gun cleaning tool (something like a flexible 1.5-meter wire with a brush on one end and a handle on the other). But what does the tachometer shaft look like, and where can I find one? Isn't it too short?
Thank you very much.

Well, a tachowave is essentially a coiled wire that can bend but not twist; it also returns to its original position.
It was just a suggestion, but buying something like that probably isn't worth it. 1993 Audi 80 B4 1Z

I once had a bathtub in my Ibiza car. Of course, the drain hoses were also suspected [of being the problem].
Unfortunately, they were all free and without any cracks or imperfections, etc.
Despite the heavy rain, the aquarium...
'The gutter was clogged, and as a result, the debris simply ran across the middle of the gutter instead of flowing backward into the hose.'
Bend it back and everything will be alright...

You're welcome, Cremlin.
I will also pay attention to that; a friend of mine, who is quite reckless, once leaned out there, and the metal might have been bent.
@everyone - I'm definitely relieved to know that it's normal for it to leak, and that it won't be expensive to fix.
Greetings.
