@ BC

Depending on what you do to the pump and the MSTG (Motor Starting Group), errors can occur.

As I mentioned, I don't have any diodes or a power-on delay – I can also start it with a box. You can definitely feel the difference; when using "MIT," it reaches significantly higher speeds. This likely means it's consuming more than the specified starting amount of 23 mg/hour.

Perhaps the AF control unit is simply very tolerant when it comes to tolerances.

Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation.

"@Dieselmartin: You said you can tell the difference because WITH it, the engine revs much higher."
Do you mean the idle behavior or the maximum speed in 5th gear? If it's about the idle, I thought that was already regulated. Or does the control system not manage to handle it anymore?

Best regards, Björn.

neither nor.

I meant the start.
It first increases to a higher level and then adjusts to the desired speed.

Since the initial acceleration is controlled by quantity rather than speed, it naturally increases with engine speed when using a turbocharger (Box).

I'm quite surprised by that, considering the described performance improvements. With the AFN (presumably a specific system or organization), there would definitely have been warning lights and flashing indicators for such things.

It would be interesting to adjust the reference ring of the HDK sensor. If that's not a problem either, I think you could completely remove the 10c setting, because the corresponding performance should also be achievable through the HDK adjustment.

Moreover, by adjusting both rings, it is even possible to achieve a completely normal LL (light leakage) behavior in principle, and the excess light increases gradually with the displacement of the control slider.

If you decide to try it, I would recommend documenting the lower and upper pump pressure limits using a VAGCOM scanner beforehand (-> see control module for target values), so that you can revert to those settings if necessary.

... and don't tempt me.

I suspect that my MSA12 is too lenient and accepts almost anything during the system test.

I need to try connecting the MSA15 – maybe it will cause some issues.

I definitely prefer the adjustable version right now, because with a permanently adjusted HDK, I always end up having injection timings that are shifted too late.

Now I can constantly reassure myself by switching to the "series" option.
