Hi everyone.
I need someone who can deactivate my immobilizer.
Does anyone have a wiring diagram for the immobilizer system? How do you bypass it?
I've often heard stories about 1.8T or 'Pumpe Düse' engine swaps in Golf 1 and 2 models that deactivated the immobilizer system.
Does anyone here have any idea about this?
Help!!!
Greetings, The Golfman .

Hmm,
Please correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I remember, your car has a WFS (Wireless Front System). This needs to be calibrated to the control unit (ECU).
You can either build an adapter for VAG-Com and do the adjustment yourself (as I mentioned before), or you can convince a VAG employee (with the threat of a 10 EUR donation to the coffee fund) to come after work with a 1551 or 1552 device and a cable.
Perhaps someone in this forum is from your region and can help you.
Best regards, Rudi.
P.S.: It should be possible to disable the WFS using specially coded VAG testers, but accessing them is likely almost impossible.

Okay, so if I build the connector myself, where do I get the software from?
Is it possible to download it somewhere?
Best regards,

Yes, you can use the free version of VAG-COM for that.
Information and download available at:
http://www.ross-tech.com/vag-com/index.html
Best regards, Rudi.

Yesterday, I bought a connector on eBay. It comes with a shareware version and a 3-meter cable.
Building it myself is taking too long, and I'm not even sure if it will work. This topic is often discussed here.
Thanks again for your help.
Best regards,
The Golfman.

Hmm,
Either you build an adapter for VAG-Com and do the synchronization yourself (as I mentioned before).
I just searched for it, but I couldn't find anything... Could you possibly send me the link?

Take a look at the next page under 'Converting from 1Z to AFN engine in a VW Golf 3.'
It explains how to do it.
Best regards,
The Golfman.
