2.5L AKN Engine Not Running - Troubleshooting

Hello!
I installed a 2.5L AKN engine, complete with wiring harness, engine control unit, and all associated components, into an Audi 80 B4.
It won't start!
There is no fuel pressure.
Fuel injection pump, new.
Tax characters OK.
System completely bled.
...
What could be the problem?

If that's the case, and if the system is completely bled, I would first check whether diesel is being supplied to the injectors.
If not, does the solenoid valve in the fuel line to the pump open?

Does the V6 engine perhaps have a pre-lift pump in the tank to build up pressure in the system?

Hot project, well done.

The VP44 is self-priming. While the latest EU IV engines have a pre-lift pump in the tank, its purpose is different from increasing the pre-injection pressure. This is beyond the scope of what we need to discuss.

"If fuel is reaching the injector, you've almost won. What's much more important is what the error codes from the MSG (Main System Module), KI (Engine Control Unit), and GSG (Gasoline Supply Module) are saying. The solution to the problem usually lies there. Also very important: the basic fuel pump setting!"
The VP44 also takes a very long time to self-prime!
