How long is the sprinkler line?

I have another question, as I currently don't have the opportunity to look under my car (no pit available).

My Audi B4, manufactured in December 1994, with a 1Z TDI engine, is currently leaking some diesel fuel. After each time I park it, there's a puddle of diesel about 30 cm in diameter on the street underneath the engine.

I checked from above. The diesel filter, lines to the ESP (Exhaust Gas Recirculation), and lines to the injectors: everything seems perfectly tight. So, it's likely the fuel line located underneath the engine that's the problem. There doesn't appear to be any air in the fuel lines between the ESP and the filter. The engine is also running fine. Therefore, it's probably a leak in the return fuel line.

My guess is that it's a city marten. I've seen those creatures running around here before.

My question is: Is the fuel line, from the filter to the tank, a long piece? Or are there individual sections that can be replaced? Can the fuel line also be repaired somehow?

Yes, the connection can be fixed.
Is your diesel filter sealed properly? Because sometimes the seal on the drain valve can be defective, which you might not notice from the engine's sound or smell.

Can you provide information about 2.5L AKN engines?
