Rear Window Regulator Coding VW Golf IV (1999)

Hello everyone,

My Golf 4 has multi-stage buttons for the front windows, with two positions for raising and two for lowering. The first position is for manual operation, and the second is for raising or lowering the window all the way. However, the rear windows only have single-stage buttons for up and down. Automatic closing is not possible with these buttons. The button must be held down continuously.

In the Golf 3, only the simpler buttons were used. However, the automatic function was implemented electronically. A short press causes the window to move to its limit. A long press causes the window to move only as long as the button is held down.

Is there a way to reprogram this on a Golf 4 using a diagnostic tool?
