Hello everyone!
I'm having problems with a leaking gearbox.
Approximately 4 years ago, a 'specialized workshop' replaced the clutch. During the process, the transmission housing was unnecessarily opened, and instead of using new flange gaskets during reassembly, these 'experts' used a liquid sealant (permanently elastic).
To put it simply: The transmission oil found a way through this sealant material, and it succeeded.
Since I don't feel like disassembling half the car to install the flange gaskets, my question is:
Has anyone had any experience with 'miracle' products like 'LECKWEG', 'ÖLVERLUSTSTOP', or similar products?
Does this stuff actually work, and if so, for how long?
I would be very grateful for any kind of advice!
Best regards, Jürgen.
