Oil Leak MKB AKF: Oil Level Sensor Problem (Solution)

Oil leak between the oil pan lower section and the oil level sensor.

Cause:
The crimped joints of the threaded rings in the oil pan lower section, which are used to secure the sensor, are not completely oil-tight in some cases.

Solution:
No parts exchange required.

The threads in the oil pan and the mounting screws must be cleaned and free of engine oil. The sealant AMV 197 500 must be applied to all three mounting screws before the oil level sensor is reinstalled.
