Installing a 2.0 DITD engine from a Mazda 626 into a 323F.

Hi,

I drive a Mazda 323f from 1999 with a 2.0 ditd engine producing 90 horsepower. I've received a good offer for a 2.0 ditd engine from a Mazda 626 with 110 horsepower. The differences are similar to those between a 1Z TDI and an AFN TDI. My engine has a wastegate turbo, while the 110 horsepower engine has a variable geometry turbo (VTG). The engine I'm offered comes with all the attachments, but without the engine control unit (ECU). Does anyone know if it's possible to use this engine with my existing ECU, or will there be problems due to the different turbo types?
