Greetings to everyone!
'With every car I've chipped, I don't get the expected torque readings when using the KPower tool. There's always a difference of 30-40 Nm compared to calculations and dyno measurements.'
I'm using a beta version of it. My test track only allows testing in 3rd gear. I always do it this way: I measure the weight of the car on the digital truck scale.
From 1300 RPM, apply full throttle and let the engine rev up. Depress the clutch and coast down to approximately 85 km/h.
Yesterday, I had a Passat TDI with 74 kW and engine code AVB. Without a chip, KPower measured 111 horsepower and 247 Nm of torque.
The customer only wanted 130 horsepower and 300 Nm of torque.
According to the chip tuning company, the KPower system produces 129.8 horsepower, but only 256 Nm of torque. However, starting at 1900 RPM, it releases 55 mg/hour of a substance. Based on my calculations, this should result in approximately 290 Nm of torque, compared to the standard 46 mg/hour.
What could be the reason for that?

Which version of KPower are you using?
Generally, it is more efficient to perform the measurement using the largest possible range, as long as the test track allows it.
Reason: Simply adjusting the turbocharger boost pressure in a TDI engine can take 1-2 seconds, during which time you may already be passing the actual peak torque, and therefore you never actually experience the 'true' maximum torque.
The current version 3.0.5 fixes some bugs, and the logged values are evaluated in a more "intelligent" way (this affects, among other things, the maximum torque).

I need to check which version it is. I'll do that this afternoon. I'm pretty sure it's a beta version that I've been downloading for free from your shop for a while.
I understand what you mean about the 'gang' and the test track. I'm trying to find a better one.

Power a little, and torque much more. My log of series data now says 288 Nm?
and with a chip, producing 55 mg/h, the torque is 296 Nm.
So, there's still only a small difference between the series and the chip.
Could I have forgotten something about the chip? Current amount and LD (learning deviation) according to VAG-COM:
From 1800 RPM, 55 mg/h (MB 001) and 2150 mbar (MB 011).
Maybe try putting the car on a dynamometer.
