I'd be interested to know if you have any tips on how to properly adjust the VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) without using a VAG tool or a boost pressure gauge.
I came up with something, but I'm not sure if it will work.
2nd gear, going uphill (gradient 10-18%), engine speed approximately 1200 rpm, then full throttle, and noticeable acceleration from around 1800 rpm.
Increasing acceleration before 1800 rpm -->> excessively aggressive VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry).
Increasing acceleration after 1800 rpm indicates a VTG (Variable Turbine Geometry) that is open for too long.
