div. Golf 1J TDI and Gasoline, gradual loss of power (Solution)

Problem:
Gradual performance loss/Maximum speed (Vmax) is no longer achieved.

Cause:
Clogged filter in the air intake. In some cases, vehicles were equipped with air intakes intended for Nordic countries, but these were not designed for those specific countries.

Solution:
Inspect the air intake before the air filter by removing the air filter housing and intake. If this air intake has a bypass valve and a screen, then the screen should be removed from the air intake. Afterwards, the intake can be reinstalled.
