Hello.

Okay, here's the translation:

'This is about a 1.6-liter inline four-cylinder engine (ALH) in a Volkswagen Bora, model year 2000.' With ABS, but without ESP and ASR.

'After I converted to a manual transmission, I removed the automatic transmission wiring harness from the engine wiring harness today. Everything is working perfectly, except for an entry in the error memory of the instrument cluster. It indicates that the brake control unit could not be found.' The ABS light illuminates on the dashboard and then turns off after a few seconds, which is normal. There are no error codes present in the ABS control unit, nor in the engine control unit. The engine control unit has been recoded to 0002 (manual transmission).

Where could the error be coming from? I haven't touched the ABS control unit. The engine control unit and the automatic transmission control unit are not connected to the ABS control unit, so I don't think I could have done anything wrong.

Possibly CAN-BUS? Do you also need to remove the automatic transmission or switch it to manual mode there? If so, does anyone have the corresponding data for that?

Regards,

Paul.

Hello.

Does the coding in the instrument cluster match?
Have you also checked your brake light switch/clutch switch?
Check MWB 125 to see if they want to communicate.

Best regards, Cosi.

hello

I've already checked the switches.

What is MWB 125? And how do I read it? I'm not familiar with VAG-COM because I've only started using it recently.

Sure, here's the translation:

'Hello' or 'Greetings'

hello

It's been resolved. It was due to an issue with the CAN bus encoding.

Sure, here's the translation:

'Hello' or 'Greetings'

Hello.

You could have seen that in measurement block 125.
The next step would have been the coding process.
Great that it's working again icon_wink.gif.

Best regards, Cosi.
