Opel Corsa: Blinking Fast - What to Do?

I'm having a problem with an Opel Corsa, manufactured in 2002:
When the right turn signal is activated, it blinks at twice the normal frequency.
However, none of the light bulbs are defective (2 front, 2 side, 2 rear)!
The hazard lights are working perfectly.
What could be the reason for that?

Yes, all the indicator lights are working, including the warning lights. I haven't changed anything, no bulbs or anything like that. It happened suddenly, now the three indicators on the right side are blinking at double the frequency.

Does the flasher relay have separate contacts for the right and left sides?

Then, just as a test, try replacing the relay, because the problem might be with it.

For the Golf 3, the relay "doesn't know" about the sides, and this error pattern cannot be caused by the relay.

The problem has been resolved.

1. Turn on the hazard lights.
2. Activate the right/left turn signal.
3. Turn off the hazard lights.

-> The turn signal is working normally again!

Don't ask me why.

Here's what I found out: The Corsa actually has separate relays for the right and left turn signals. However, these relays are not located in the fuse box, but in another housing in the upper right corner of the engine compartment. The control unit is probably also located in this housing. This box is screwed on with Torx screws and is not designed to be easily opened.

Well, whatever, it's working again!
