Hi,
I quickly put the summer tires on my Leon the other night because it's now allowed to go off-road.
Either I cross-threaded the screw, or the "previous owners who tinkered with things" messed something up. In any case, a screw on the rear left side is now stripping its threads. It was difficult to tighten, and when I partially unscrewed it, you could see that the threads were damaged (the flanks are rounded).
The screw is now in place and holding its torque.
Should I fix it by re-tapping the threads in the hub and replacing the screw, or should I just wait until the rear wheel bearing needs to be replaced anyway?
Especially since I would only need to buy the G-thread cutter because wheel bolts have such a peculiar thread pitch.
Okay, please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English. I will only provide the translation. Transparency, Teamwork
... there was another T.
I don't know what the f*ck it was.
