Cause:
Contact corrosion between the connector pin and the threaded insert due to an unfavorable material combination.


Solution:
For minor corrosion, preserve the connector with protective wax.
Otherwise, replace the fuel tank and install a new grounding strap, part number 1H9 201 142 A.
