Document startup issues, adjusting initial quantity (Solution)

If the engine starts easily with the temperature sensor disconnected, it is possible that the calculated fuel injection amount is insufficient.
This can be adjusted using a diagnostic device.
(This feature is not available on all control units.)

"For this, use a diagnostic tool (e.g., 1551, 1552, VAS, or VAG-Com...)"
to access the engine control unit.
Perform a login using the code 12233.
Select "Function Adaptation".
In channel 5 (initial value), the value can now be adjusted upwards.
This results in a slightly increased initial amount.

Specifically, PD motors require a starting speed of at least 500 RPM. If this is not achieved, check the starter and battery.
