VW Crafter: Van for Sale & More

New VW Crafter. Can the control units for additional lighting or, for example, an immobilizer be configured using VAG-COM? Are all the control units in the Crafter from Mercedes, or is this only possible with STAR-DIAGNOSIS?

Over the past few weeks, several tests have been conducted. The engine control units are accessible via VAG-COM, but all other control units use MB/DC-specific protocols and are therefore not compatible with VAG-COM. The original VAS 505x has supported these MB/DC protocols since version 10 and can therefore interface with the LT3/Crafter. Whether and how this functionality will be integrated into VAG-COM is still to be decided at this time.

Unfortunately, that doesn't help me much because we have several Crafters on the farm for conversions, and each one requires different settings or has missing options.

and Mercedes charges approximately €12,000 for the STAR-DIAGNOSIS system.

Perhaps someone else has a solution.

If you don't want to buy an expensive tester and VW can't help you, have you tried it with Mercedes-Benz (without immediately buying their tester)?
