HI.
What is located behind the speakers in the front doors (G3 doors) if they are installed from the factory?
I only had the factory-installed door panels, and I installed matching ones in the doors. After about 5 VWs with leaky window films, I definitely started leaving the film fins attached behind the subwoofers.
Following: Zero Bass.
In the Leon/Golf 4, the subwoofers resonate nicely into the door cavity (i.e., the interior space) and are even acoustically sealed against the door panels.
Are the G3 speakers' diaphragms factory-cut, or how can I achieve resonance and, consequently, improve the sound volume?
m;
PS: I also want to be able to listen quietly sometimes, but still hear well – I have a 30-inch subwoofer in the trunk for when I want to blast the bass. Transparency, Teamwork
... there was another T.
I don't know what the f*ck it was.

Hello,
In my Golf, the foam seal behind the speaker openings creates a kind of pocket. The plastic film is pushed inwards in those areas, resulting in a slightly larger space.
I cut the film as described below. I haven't experienced any water ingress issues so far. Gruss Oliver.
