1.4 Diesel Performance Tuning: Increase Power!

Hello,

Please don't laugh at me! I have a question.
Is it possible to improve the performance of my Polo 2F from 1991 with its 1.4L diesel engine (a brilliant 48 horsepower )?
As cheaply as possible!

Is it possible to retrofit a turbocharger?
I heard that some people have already done this, and it should then produce around 60-70 horsepower!

I would be grateful for help!
