'My Golf IV AHF with 110 horsepower and 93,000 km has recently started experiencing acceleration problems in 4th and 5th gear, starting at an engine speed of 3400 rpm. When accelerating at full throttle, the power is briefly reduced for about 1 second, then it accelerates again. This happens consistently in 5th gear, making it very difficult to reach the maximum speed.'
Is it possible that the LMM (likely mass meter) is defective, as has been reported before?
Thank you for the answers.
Regards,
Erwin.

Yes, that sounds like an LMM (likely a Linear Motion Module). However, since it's relatively expensive (around €280), I wouldn't replace it without a good reason.
Perhaps you know someone who would lend you their LMM (Low Mass Motorcycle) for a test ride.
That's how I did it.

Hi!
You might also have success at your local garage; they often test different Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensors as a diagnostic step.
Best regards, Uwe.
