Hello everyone,

Today I tried to access the control units (ECUs) in my Audi A6 Avant 2.5 TDI quattro, but unfortunately without success. I tried using several versions of VAGCom (208, 302), and I was only able to access the following ECUs: 01, 02, 03, 17, 25, and 33.
'These [devices/adapters] simply don't work for things like the interior lighting (which blinks when you try to activate it) or the navigation system ('Diag.' briefly appears on the RNS-D display)...'
Do I need a different diagnostic adapter, or do I need to change a setting in VAGCom?

Hi,

Just use a decent diagnostic system and avoid outdated, pirated software. Then it will work.

Hello Rainer,

Thank you for your reply. That sounds quite good in principle, but is the problem due to the adapter or the software? It's not entirely clear from your post, as the links offer both the software and the corresponding hardware. And that's exactly what my question was about: whether I can continue to use my existing hardware.

You can continue to use your old hardware, but it will only function as shareware. This is because the software's registration code is stored in the new adapter.

And it's your software's fault. It's poorly copied and simply outdated.
