Hi.
I disconnected the battery on the 3C, and now I have ABS errors in the 03 module and a lane assist error in the 44 module.

I had to type this out because I don't have internet access here.
Quote:

ABS:
Part number SW: 3C0 614 109 A Hardware number: 3C0 614 109 A
Part number: ESP 440 C4 H018 0001
Encoding: 0013626

00778 - Steering angle sensor (G85)
005 - No or incorrect initial setup/adjustment.

Steering assistance:
Part number: 1K1 909 144 L
Component: EPS_ZFLS, Class 126, H07, 1806.

00778 - Steering angle sensor (G85)
000 - -

What should I do?
Probably a default setting, but why does this component forget the default setting when the battery is disconnected?

Okay, I'll look for the default settings... if anyone has them readily available, please pass them over.

Thank you.
Martin.

Funny.

I had to go back again... and after 100 meters, the warning lights went out.
"The error codes have also disappeared."

But how can the G85 self-calibrate, since it doesn't actually know what "straight" is...

Protection function! Be glad you don't have a Bosch 5.7 ABS system, because it not only forgets the basic settings, but also the coding.

As usual...

He probably already knows that, although with enough driving, that knowledge might fade, and in your case, the data wasn't completely lost.

Hello.
Is that normal for newer cars, or is it an exception?
Sincerely, Sure, here is the translation of the text from German to English:

No, it's more the rule than the exception...
Do Audis behave the same way? If you disconnect the battery, do the error lights sometimes come on until you drive a bit and it starts providing values again?
'He received the steering angle sensor and the other one.'

Here's what I did:

"Nothing - and that scares me almost more than the fact that errors occurred."

I had him standing in the driveway.
Manually adjust the footwell lights.
To connect the power cable to the onboard network control unit, I disconnected the battery for about 10 minutes.
Battery connected, VAGCOM connected, footwell lights coded, and the other control units have errors icon_sad.gif.

Then I really had to go, so I'm leaving now, because the traffic lights are only yellow.

"Reverse 10 meters, turn 90 degrees left onto the street. Then proceed straight, and after approximately 50-100 meters, both warning lights should turn off. Restarting the engine after driving 7 kilometers also does not bring back any warning lights." Back to the source of the errors, and after reading the code... the errors disappeared on their own.

Okay, it's better this way than another way...

Thank you for the help... I was quite nervous because of my poorly functioning internet and the stress I was experiencing with T-Mobile's UMTS service.

I had the same problem. Resetting to the default settings didn't help, and the error light remained on. The instructions from the Ross-Tech Wiki were helpful.
(Point "Special Procedures").
I turned sharply to the left, waited a bit, then two beeps sounded, and I repeated the process to the right => the warning light went out.
I'm guessing that the torque sensors and/or the steering end-stop positions need to be calibrated. It's fully electric, and it would likely continue to "push" even when at the end stop.

Hopefully, this might help someone avoid searching for something they lost two days after the fact.http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/VW_Golf_(1K)_Steering_Assist{MARKER}
