Hello,
I'm currently retrofitting the auxiliary heater from a 3-cylinder 75PS (AMF) engine into my A2, which has a 3-cylinder 90PS TDI (ATL) engine.
It should also function as a parking heater, so the entire system, including the pump, should be installed.

In the AMF system, Pin 3 of the ThermoTop (6-pin connector) is connected to Pin 35 of the engine control unit (ECU) for the preheating function, and Pin 6 of the heater is connected to Pin 39 of the ECU and the dosing pump for fuel consumption measurement in the FIS (fahrzeugintegrierte Systematik - vehicle integrated system).

Is the pin configuration on the engine control unit the same for both the AMF and ATL engines, so that I can connect those two wires there?

Does anyone have any ideas about this? I know, the ATL is relatively rare...

How is it with other related engines?

Greetings.

If you're completely stuck, just forget about it. You can live with a fuel consumption display that shows the wrong information, and if the auxiliary heater doesn't turn on automatically, you can just turn it on manually. For example, I'd rather the auxiliary heater didn't also turn on during trips of just 200 meters, if that happens. More importantly, check if it has a connection to the climate control system, if it does.
