Reading out an Audi A2 with VAG 1551?

Hi.

I plan to inspect a used Audi A2, manufactured in August 2001, with a 1.2 TDI 3L ANY engine, in the near future.

The ESP/ABS light is on in the car, so I'm wondering if it can be diagnosed using an original VAG 1551 tester.

Depending on the tester's data, it's possible that only the error codes will be displayed.

It depends on which ABS system the car has. If it's already a MK60, the VAG-1551 requires the very latest software version, version 9.

With the VAG-COM diagnostic system, it definitely works.

PS: VAG-1551 Version 9 is from the year 2000. It's a bit outdated, then.
