Hello,
I'm having a problem with my clutch (engine code: ASV + gearbox code: EGS) that's making a rattling noise.
Now I'd like to know if a 240mm flywheel with clutch will fit on my car. Otherwise, I would switch to a 228mm flywheel.
I have 0.216 injectors and the engine is tuned, but I had to reduce the power at low RPM (up to 2000 RPM) because of excessive vibration.
If the 240mm clutch doesn't fit, and I were to switch to a 228mm clutch, would that be harmful to the transmission (input shaft + bearings), or could it handle it?
I know that the EMS isn't as comfortable, but I already had a 35 i 1Z, and I didn't find this one to be significantly worse.
I would be grateful for appropriate responses!!!

Thank you in advance for the answers.
So, in this case, the topic of the 240 clutch is closed.
What would happen if I were to switch back to the 228 EMS system?
@BM
Do you know how much the Valeo set costs and how many Nm it can handle?

Unfortunately, no, I only stumbled upon the fact that Valeo offers something like that just yesterday.
@Partial clause
For you, figuring that out shouldn't be a problem. 3B5 AJM

Valeo News:
Lieferbar immediately.
If it ever becomes obsolete, I also have the part number for the kit without the SM, which is a special order number. Gruß, der Teileklaus

Okay, I'll sell them to you for 460.- , and also include the Top Valeo Service Info.
But you can also damage an Actros clutch while towing. Gruß, der Teileklaus

@ teileklaus
So, could I combine the Valeo kit (without the SM) with a 228 EMS (G60, VR6, or 1Z) and then install it in my ASV?
If so, what is the cost of the kit without the SM (presumably referring to a specific module or component)?

If it's a problem child, take the whole thing, just like that! That's the only way to make sure it lasts.
Edit: The clutch kit without the SM component is €352, minus 40% including VAT, plus shipping. Gruß, der Teileklaus

I'm interested in the clutch kit, but without the flywheel, as I already have a 1Z flywheel installed.
Can you determine if the pressure plate/friction disc is compatible with a genuine VW 1Z flywheel?
Thank you and best regards.

Uuuuhhhhh, what are my old and watery eyes reading???
...why didn't I know anything about it until now? Because I'm ignorant, yes, yes, I know .
FINALLY, a decent alternative solution for everyone who has suffered from (or been healed from? *g*) ZMS - like me *meld*.
@ KlausiMausi, what would the "Premium Kit" from Valeo cost for my T5, manufactured in 2003 (engine code: AXC = 1.9 PD-TDi, 63kW + chip & gearbox code: FJJ = 5-speed manual), and is it even available for this (rather rare...) model?
The Valeo homepage, including the "Online Parts Catalog" (...why does that make me think of ATE? *laugh*) unfortunately offers very little explicit information *sigh*. The US page has more content, but even there, it's difficult to find information for engines with a displacement of less than 5.7 liters .
I'd be happy to send you the exact details via private message if it looks like availability might be good.
Thank you in advance, and greetings from Munich! 1. S.verlängerung: Audi A4 Avant quattro, 1,9 TDi MKB: AFN, BJ98, Vollausstattung, +VP1L

Just slow down with the nicknames, there's also a user named Klausi!
I'm not a Sachs expert, and I'm not sure if this will work with a 1Z flywheel.
The above-mentioned specific application with the specified number is not suitable for every PD motor.
For your T5, I found a Sachs clutch with a 228 mm diameter (part number 3000970017) that can be used, and also a LUK clutch with a 230 mm diameter (SAC?), but it would need to be used with a different flywheel.
Then, under LUK, there's a 230 mm SAC 623308200, and it's possible that this is just a different LUK part number for the same SAC clutch. Gruß, der Teileklaus
