Defective Comfort Electronics: Troubleshooting & Repair

Hello forum,

After a short period of battery drain, the comfort electronics no longer function properly.
Power windows, fuel tank lock, and rear hatch lock are malfunctioning/not working correctly.

"At a free and independent workshop, the error memory was checked and the fuses were inspected: no errors found."

What else could be checked?

What is the exact procedure for losing weight?

Let's leave the battery disconnected for a while longer. Maybe the control units just crashed.

Hello, I had a similar problem with my Seat Alhambra. It turned out that the fuel tank lid motor was faulty and caused a short circuit.

Unfortunately, I had the window slightly open and then it got stuck.
Is there anything that can be salvaged by disconnecting it for a longer period of time?

How is disconnecting officially handled?

When connecting or disconnecting, consider using a device that can smooth out voltage spikes.

Do the window lifters not work at all anymore, or have they just forgotten how to reach their end positions?
The latter wouldn't be a problem; simply hold the button in both positions for a few more seconds until the window stops moving and reaches its fully open or closed position.

Fuses in the interior and ground fault areas have been checked - OK.
As mentioned above, when connecting a mass, currents can flow that may lead to unhealthy voltage spikes – these would need to be discharged (quote from a local workshop).
