Engine Stalls After Starting: Polo 6N2 1.4 TDI (AMF)

As the title suggests, the engine has been occasionally stalling after starting for a few days now. So far, this has only happened when the engine was already warm. It starts perfectly fine when cold. What's strange is that every time I've had starting problems, I've been able to keep the engine running by pressing the accelerator. That's why I initially ruled out the throttle position sensor (TPS).
Okay, I just had the error memory read out, and it says in the engine control unit:

17978 - Engine control unit locked.
35-10 - - - Intermittent

and in the WFS:

01314 - Engine Control Unit (ECU)
49-10 - No communication - Intermittent.

Does this now point to the apparently more frequently failing reading head, or does the error in the WFS (Wire Frame System) rather suggest a loose cable connection at the WFS control unit?

More likely, it's a wiring issue between the WFS and the MSTG.
The reading coil leaves other error entries in the WFS control unit.

The errors mentioned above were recorded after they occurred and approximately 7 hours of highway driving, with about 4 ignition cycles.
This morning, I had the same problems again, and now I've read the error codes again after that.

It seems there's a problem with the spool after all.
Why wasn't the error code still stored this morning from yesterday? Or did it automatically clear itself due to the few ignition cycles or the long driving duration?

I replaced the reading head today.
It costs 23 euros, so it's still reasonable. Now we just have to wait and see if the error reappears. For now, the diagnostic laptop is coming along for the ride, so that we can read any errors immediately if they occur.
