Hello everyone,

My car might need new rear axle bearings. I received an offer for rear axle bearings from a brand called AIC Competition Line. However, I'm not familiar with this company at all. When I searched online, I didn't find much information either. Does anyone have any experience or information about this company and the quality of their parts?

Greetings.

'These are the cheapest parts, and I can't comment on their quality. However, since your installation on the G3 was so bad, I would only use very high-quality parts. That way, you definitely won't have to replace them again.'

What do you mean by "rear axle bearing"?
Are you referring to the (1) wheel bearings, specifically the rubber-metal components, or the (2) rear wheel bearings?

A workshop replaced the bearings of the axle housing (1) for me twice because the first "generic" parts twisted inside the axle. It worked fine with original bearings.

Hi Dieselmartin,

I mean those rubber-metal things.

Absolutely.
I just saw two more Golf 3s with the same problem. In my opinion, it's better to spend a little more on the correctly fitting parts and have peace of mind for the rest of the car's life.

Greetings.
Andy.
