TDI Tuning: 110kW - Experiences?

I'm planning to buy a Seat Leon (top sport model with 150 horsepower) soon. Since I haven't worked as a car mechanic for several years, I don't have any experience with VTG turbochargers or pump-injector engines.
Were newly developed pistons used in this engine?
How about tuning? It seems like 110 kW is already quite a lot for a 1900cc engine.

I've read several times that the reliability of the 110kW TDI engines isn't great, even in their standard configuration. I personally know someone who has been driving a 150hp engine in their Golf for 50,000 km without any problems. If you decide to have the engine 'chipped,' only go to a tuner who offers at least a two-year warranty on the engine, transmission, turbo, and drivetrain.
For me, this is generally a basic requirement for chip tuning, especially for a new vehicle!

My friend has a Golf 4 with a 110 kW engine. He's now got a chip tuning upgrade that brings it to 196 horsepower, and it's been approved by the TÜV (German technical inspection agency).
The car is a nightmare. It's really bad. The problem is that the clutch keeps slipping constantly when the engine is under full load, even though the car has only been driven for just under 20,000 kilometers. It's probably due to the amount of power.
The other day, I spoke with a VW master mechanic, and he said that the 110 kW engines are constantly in the workshop. Apparently, there are issues with oil pressure, etc., and they seem to be very prone to problems.
When the engine is stationary and cold, it sounds even worse than a tractor. Apparently, the 130 model is supposed to be better and less prone to problems.

However, I don't want to hide the fact that a new clutch was also necessary with the tuning, because the old one couldn't handle the increased torque. I was also very surprised, as I don't do quick starts and I mostly drive long distances. The old clutch looked like new, but apparently the spring pressure was no longer sufficient.
I increased the power to 180 horsepower and 370 Nm of torque.
