Okay, I know this thread is probably going to be locked eventually...

I wanted to ask if, for example, a Bosch service center can update the software from an ALH engine control unit to an ASV one.
|
No, he wouldn't do that even if he could.

I have an ALH engine with 0.216 injectors, and I hope that the software update will increase the boost pressure/power.
|
The opposite would be true if you had ASV SW installed. Why that can be inquired via private message, but only for "the chosen ones"

.

If, for example, I'm slowly approaching an intersection and I've depressed the clutch, then it sounds like the engine is running on 3 cylinders. Can someone explain to me why this is happening?
|
Because the pump voltage is not compatible with the nozzles. Component tolerances take care of the rest.

What the above confirms.
My advice: find a skilled tuner who can adjust it for you. Furthermore, you will then need noise and exhaust reports, etc., to obtain the operating permit for the vehicle again, unless you only drive it away from public roads (which I assume you do, because you wouldn't illegally install different nozzles

).

I am 100% certain that you can install ALH software, from ALH Automatik, onto a Bosch system via a software update, of course.
|
You don't need that, you already have the automatic software installed. She's just not active right now.
