Title: Article for Error/Knowledge Bases
Hello,
I have a helpful suggestion for the error/knowledge databases.
Engine: 2.0 TDI BKD/AZV, from 2004, in all VAG models.
Error: Whistling/squealing noise in the partial load range, apparently indicating turbocharger damage.
Cause: Hairline crack/constant vibration breakage in the connecting pipe between the manifold and the exhaust cooling system, specifically in the area of the corrugated flexible section. Exhaust gases escape under certain load conditions, and as they pass through the resulting gap, they produce the noises.
Solution: The relevant pipe was structurally redesigned and modified with an inlet.
to prevent fractures. |
