Hello fellow enthusiasts,

I replaced the AGR valve on a Skoda Fabia I, type 6Y. After a short time, the following error appeared:

"One error found:"
16786 - Exhaust gas recirculation system: Flow rate too high.
P0402 - 35-00 - -

"With this error, the EGR valve is (usually) not activated and remains fully open. I personally doubt this is the case with a new valve, and according to the AUTO-LOG, it is being activated."
According to Pieburg, an EGR valve should also be programmed. Does this make sense, and if so, how is it done with VAG-COM?

Thank you very much.

Engine code: BBY, 1.4 gasoline.

How does a basic calibration process generally work? Do I need to specify target values under certain conditions, or does the actuator adjust itself automatically after a certain amount of time?

Thank you very much.
