Hello everyone!

I installed a new instrument cluster with MFA (Multi-Function Display) in my Caravelle TDI 75KW, model 2001. The instrument cluster was new with only 600 km on it, and it has now been adjusted to the correct mileage. Additionally, the service interval display has been set to the "longlife" setting. Does anyone know the codes for the T4?

I've already browsed the forum, but unfortunately, I haven't found anything useful.

Thank you, Peter.

Hello!

I'm having the same problem, but with a Bora!
Is there any software for that? Are there unlock codes or something similar?
I mean, it's not a problem if it's a little less sometimes, but who would believe me? *gg*
I would be grateful for help!

Hey!

Send Bertil an email, maybe he can help you. However, without a VAG Com device, you won't be able to change anything.

Hi Peter!

Is it possible to retrofit a TDI engine with a Multifunction Display (MFA)?

Best regards, Alex.

Hey!

"Of course, everything is possible. Generally, four wires needed to be run from the blue connector on the control panel (T32a) to the central electrical system, and four more from the central electrical system to the MFA/wiper lever. In my case, I also needed to purchase the "V" connector housing (from the central electrical system) for the wiring to the lever, and a matching connector housing for the top of the steering column lever. The four wires of the lever are plugged into two existing connector housings (U1 and U2). However, the connections can be easily read from the wiring diagram. Caution is advised when selecting the switch panel module. Does it have CAN Bus or not? Is the module compatible with this vehicle's year of manufacture?" There are many differences, at least when it comes to buses.

Greetings, Peter.

The MFA (Multifunction Display) likely remained the same, whether with or without CAN. At least, that's the case with the Golf. If you connect an MFA to an older Golf without CAN (or with a CAN input but without a CAN output – there's no such thing as completely without), it simply won't work! Besides the MFA (Master of Fine Arts) degree, both large and small MFA programs appear to be largely interchangeable (at least on the surface).
Only the tachometer and the immobilizer are no longer working. WFS cannot be re-encoded.

AHA!

Is it possible that the combination instrument is already pre-configured for MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), and if so, how can I find out?

The speedometer in my Sharan goes up to 260 km/h.

Best regards, Alex.

The speedometers that display 260 km/h have a large display in the center. You'll find speedometers with the new CAN version readily available from most suppliers. Only the mileage and WFS (likely referring to a specific system or data) need to be adjusted. The total cost is approximately 200 to 250 euros.
I can't tell you whether the MFA will work or not!

I recently upgraded a Galaxy, and it actually went perfectly icon_razz.gif. But with VW, there are always a few small exceptions icon_confused.gif.
