Hello,
With an AGN motor, it is not possible to perform a basic throttle adjustment.
The throttle body was disassembled, cleaned, and reassembled, but the car is not currently in my possession.
The reason for the breakdown was "stuttering at certain load points."
Could it be that the initial setup is not possible due to an incorrect "Maximum Throttle Potentiometer Setting," meaning it's somehow incorrectly assembled?
In measurement block 23, the "Maximum throttle potentiometer position" is indicated as 42.7°.
Bitmask 001110: according to the label file:
- Throttle potentiometer alignment not okay; mismatch with idle control potentiometer.
- Learning process: Maximum voltage reached, DK potentiometer not functioning correctly.
- Learning process for minimum threshold DK-potentiometer not working correctly.
- Learning process: Maximum throttle setting error, idle speed control potentiometer not functioning correctly.
Best regards, Rainer.

The procedure varies depending on the protocol, but generally, for electrically actuated disconnectors, it is as follows:
KWP-1281:
01 --> Measurement block
08 --> 060 --> Basic setting
--> Start
--> Wait 30 seconds, adaptation is running
--> Switch to normal measurement block
--> Done, return.
KWP-2089:
01 --> Default setting 04 --> 060 --> Start --> "Default setting OFF" --> on/off/continue --> "Default setting ON" --> Cycle runs, stops, leave "Default setting ON" for 30 seconds --> on/off/continue --> "Default setting OFF" --> finished, return.
Please provide the German text you would like me to translate into English.
Carefully check the adjustment mechanism of the variable intake manifold, even if the electric valve is working! Very often, the linkage is misaligned, which can lead to these kinds of problems, and the car also consumes at least 1 liter more fuel. BKD GRF

"Can you tell me where I can find the rice husk pipe?" Is this part of the throttle body?

Hello,
The N156 valve, which controls the vacuum switching for the intake manifold, is located: When you are standing in front of the engine and looking at the exhaust manifold, it is on the right-hand side, at the top front, next to the manifold. It should have a resistance of approximately 30 Ohms, plus or minus 5 Ohms.
Functional test of the intake manifold switchover:
- Engine is idling.
- Suddenly accelerate to full speed.
- The vacuum sensor on the intake manifold needs to be tightened.
The N156 can also be accessed and tested using the VCDS actuator test function.
The intake manifold switching valve is located in the intake manifold.
Is the adjustment motor a stepper motor?
I'm not sure about that, as I haven't disassembled one before. In the case of 2.0 TDI diesel engines, the plastic gears in the AGR/throttle valve often break.

I will now address the valve for the vacuum-operated bypass control.

It's important not only to check the valve itself, but especially the adjustment mechanism! BKD GRF

Brief feedback on the variable intake manifold: Difficulty shifting due to a very conservative driving style. After some "use," the car now runs smoothly without any jerking. Dipl.-Ing. (FH) Rainer Kaufmann - dieselschrauber VCDS Shop |
